This report examines some of the characteristics of the world’s dairy industry today. Although the EU, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada play a significant role in the global dairy industry, representing 80% of world cheese exports and producing 47% of the world’s cow milk, there are still many countries of great interest in terms of consumption as well as production and exporting potential. Several of these countries around the world are the focus of this report, providing us with a good impression of the situation and trends within the dairy industry world-wide.
