Publication description
2017 saw a modest 2.5% global growth for milk, while cow’s milk registered 2.2% growth. Profitable milk prices throughout most of 2017 propelled above- average production growth in 2017. The strongest growth was in India, Pakistan, Turkey, Australia, Poland and the United Kingdom, with greater import demand by China last year due to a shortfall in milk production, according to the World Dairy Situation 2018.
This annual publication offers useful insight on macro supply and demand trends in the dairy sector with data on global milk production and processing, pricing, consumption and trade.
Keywords: dairy economics, milk production, dairy products, processing, industry, consumption trends, markets, world trade, milk and dairy prices.
